That deserves a glass of wine (or two).<br /><br />As I was reading through Robyn's thoughts, couldn't help but think that haiku is in some respects very similar to yoga. I've been doing the latter for a year now, and there is the 'economy' of movement, the tensing and the letting go, and the cleansing of one's self that seems to be just parallel to each other. Sometimes very strong emotion can fuel this spare form.<br /><br />There's a wonderful book by Patricia Donegan called HAIKU MIND - 108 Ways to Cultivate Awareness and Open Your Heart. Another great collection I've found used online is William J. Higginson's WIND IN THE LONG GRASS (1991).<br /><br />Diane - thank you.
